Sample Article #2

This will be an original article. We will try and keep topics primarily regarding civic issues – but any interesting  “Canadiana” would be considered. Articles should be between 1000 and 3000 words and contain artwork (photographs or other media materials).

The category will always be “Articles”. Tags should be applied as appropriate – not to exceed 5 per article. If any persons are referenced, they can be added in the People section. Articles do not require a Media designation. Whether a Bias indicator is required will depend on the article, who wrote it and so on.

In this sample, I have used the tags Pension, Benefits, Old Age Security, Seniors and Retirement. I have used the name Jean-Yves Duclos. It is a factual sample based on existing government programs (which are, by default neutral as they are evolved over many governments) so I did not set a bias.

We must make sure the people we have elected or those which want us to elect them are telling us the truth without spin. We must make sure that what other people are telling us about our government, our public servants and our society is true and accurate and without agenda.

This will be an original article. In this sample, I have used the tags socialism, social reform and welfare state. I have used the name Tom Mulcair. It is an article about the NDP so I set the bias to NDP.

Sample article I am using for typography design and publishing standards. It's a bit of an ongoing canvas, actually.

I proudly stood and voted against M-103. Unfortunately it passed on a whipped vote by the Liberal majority. I will continue to fight every step of the way as they try and make this anti-Canadian motion into legislation.
